There seems to be quite a lot of change at hand. This week, I’ve talked to several people who are in the midst of shedding the old, allowing it to be dismantled, and allowing the spaciousness for the new to be created. It’s always fascinating that these things seem to come in clusters.
Doreen Virtue says, “The bigger the mission, the bigger the fear.” As we step forward in our role of Lightworkers, often the Shadow & Fear rise up to meet us. They shout out warnings and try to remind us of all of our perceived shortcomings in an effort to get us to doubt ourselves and our place in the world.
Today, I’m sharing several journal entries that came forward during a particularly tender time with my Shadow self. I was desperate for rebirth… but I was so scared that I wasn’t enough for the transformation. My Shadow was especially crafty and really was creative in trying to find new avenues to stop my progress. But fortunately, the angels, Spirit, and good friends kept me going through the hard parts.
I love this picture, because it shows beauty among the thorns. Our Shadow and our thorns provide us with the opportunity to gain strength on our journey. Beauty grows in the most unlikely of places.
So wherever you are, bless your journey. All of it. And release any shame or judgment that you might have that any moment of your life should have been different. As Lightworkers, many of us have chosen to be born into lifetimes where our paths were filled with challenges. But these moments have served us well. Because we have traveled through difficult moments, we are well suited to assist others on their journey to wholeness.
Know that you are a bright light of God. And it is my blessing to share this journey with you.
