This is how I am feeling today. Filled with bright beautiful colors. The magic is whispering in my ear. And I can feel the potential of adventure calling off in the distance.
This has been a very busy week… One of those weeks where I go from activity to activity. It is an absolute blessing, for this week my schedule has been filled with Angel Activities. In the last seven days I’ve participated in an Angel Party, done a number of Angel Sessions and facilitated three Writers’ Groups. In between all of that, I have met a friend for lunch, done a load of laundry, attended a beautiful full moon ceremony, participated in an amazing juicy coaching group, and found the inspiration to re-energize a heartfelt dream of mine.
Whew~! Now I’m looking forward to a few days of quiet relaxation…
A few years ago, I had the blessing of hearing Gay and Kathleen Hendricks give a commencement speech at University of Santa Monica. At the time the Hendricks had just returned from vacation and Kathleen had shared that they were looking forward to returning back to work. She said they were blessed because they loved what they did so much, that it felt as wonderful as being on vacation.
I remember being inspired by that reflection and in that instant, I sent a prayer up to Spirit and asked for a job that I would love that much… that I wanted to love my time off, and then love getting back to work. At the time I was in a “Muggle” job that I enjoyed, but in no way, was I inspired to return back to work on Monday mornings.
But now, I work with the angels. And while I am looking forward to having a few days off, I am joyful at the idea of returning Monday morning to resume Angel Duty.
And so, for each one of you, I wish you a job that feels as joyful as vacation. I wish for you a career where your heart and soul can dance and fill the world with light. I wish for you a life where you are as joyful to be on vacation as you are to be in the midst of your work. It is possible. I promise. All it takes is a paradigm shift and a willingness to follow our joy.
