This weekend I attended the International New Age Retailer Trade Show in Denver (also known as INATS). It was an amazing trade show. I came back inspired and enriched. We met so many beautiful people committed to bringing light into the world through their work.
One of the people we met is Eleanor Wiley of Prayerbdz. Eleanor was a retired hospital administrator, and at the age of 58 took up beading. She didn’t touch a bead until she was 58 years old. Now, 12 years later, she travels the world teaching beading and has written two books. Eleanor’s energy and love for what she does is palpable. And I’m so inspired that she did not discover this gift until her late 50′s. As she was telling us this story, I found myself getting excited about what I might discover about myself 15 years from now.
Eleanor’s beadwork carries a sacred vibration of light. I was so moved by her work. She also teaches workshops in northern California… I’m looking forward to attending, to connect with a bit of that magic within myself.
We also met wonderful retailers who were very generous in sharing about their journeys in retailing. It was really beautiful to plug into this amazing community and to realize that there are so many light-filled souls working to create sacred places where people can go to find inspiration and upliftment.
And yes, we had fun shopping… we came back with all kinds of fantastic trickets, books and other fun things. If you’re a retailer, or sell product in your practice, I highly recommend attending this trade show. It was a fantastic experience~!
