What is the difference between Archangels and angels?

Both are angels of course, but Archangels have special and unique abilities and influences and are able to intervene into anyone’s life. We all have guardian angels, and an Archangel can also be one of our guardian angels. But unlike guardian angels, who are assigned to be with us throughout our lives, Archangels can come in and out and can also be called on to help anyone or anything. They are allowed to intervene wherever they are needed.

The archangels are essentially everyone’s guardians as their key function is to get involved consistently in each and every life. They are concerned with almost every advancement of humankind as well as showing up when there are catastrophes such as hurricanes and wars.

Because there is truly no linear time on the other side, Archangels can help people and situations simultaneously. When we call on them they will also work with us as individually, giving unconditional attention to our difficulties, obstacles and sadness. Don’t worry that you are overburdening them, they will listen and respond when you call for help (I always recommend adding the word “now” to your request. Archangels manage the concerns of many realms and dimensions. Many are already divinely assigned to work with us individually on various parts of our life.

Archangels are very large and radiant. Like our guardian angels, they may communicate with us telepathically and give us wise and thoughtful insight. Archangels have the freedom to move through all the spiritual realms. They like to work with deities, ascended masters, fairies, plants, animals, people and other angels. They are able to create miracles in any sphere and frequently get involved in our affairs as the Divine wills.

There are many archangels but most angelologists can usually agree on four: Michael, Gabriel/Gabrielle, Raphael and Uriel.

Archangel Michael is the protector, he can also clear away negativity and fill us with light. Michael is very easy to connect to and many first angelic experiences are with him.

Archangel Gabrielle is known as the communications angel. She can open the doors of opportunity for us. Raphael is the healing angel, you can call on him for yourself and others, including pets.

Archangel Uriel is the angel of truth and forgiveness. Call on Uriel when you feel you are not getting the entire story. He is wonderful at uncovering hidden agendas!

Archangel Raphael is the healing angel. You can call on him for healing yourself and anyone, including pets. He is particularly disposed towards children and animals.

Other lesser known Archangels are Ariel, the nature angel and can be called on for earthly matters. Chamuel is the angel of self-love and inner emotions. Azrael is known as the angel of death, which means he helps soul transition to the other side. Haniel is the angel of love and marriage. Jophiel is the angel of beauty, creativity and art. Zadkiel is the angel of wisdom, tolerance and diplomacy. Metatron is the angel of harmony and cooperation. He is also known to be the patron saint of children. Sandalphon is the angel of prayers and manifesting abundance.

Keep in mind that these Archangels can do much more than is listed here. The most important thing is to know that you can call on them and they will always intervene in whatever way is for your highest good.
