As Lightworkers, many of us suffer from the “One More Class” Syndrome. We think that if we take just one more class, read one more book, then we will be ready to step forward as teachers, healers and guides.

The truth is, it is a gutsy move to step into the world in this work. And if we all wait for that moment when the small self acquiesces that our knowledge base has reached critical mass, most of us would never take the bold steps necessary to birth ourselves into the world and hang out our shingle.

The truth is, all we need to do is begin by taking the first step… then the second… then the third… and before you know it, you will be walking the most beautiful path you can imagine.

I share with you a journal entry I wrote in October 2004 when I was struggling with this very issue. The angels were telling me to leap. And I was coming up with all of the reasons why I wasn’t yet ready. It feels as if it might resonate with some of you reading my blog, so I’m sharing it here.

Remember, as we step forward as Lightworkers, it is not about the number of books we’ve read. It’s about allowing the channel of divine wisdom and loving to again flow into our awareness. It’s about taking big bold steps and allowing Spirit to lay claim to our lives.  It is about remembering that we are here for so much more than we can imagine. There is such deep healing and light that will flow through each one of us, if only we will grant it an all-access pass into our lives. This is the road to heaven we all crave.

So continue to shine brightly, Dear Ones. We are agents of change, here to change the world. You are ready for this. Now.

Oct. 2004

I am remembering that I am ready for this work. My small self gets apprehensive that I do not “know” enough about the topics I am here to teach. But the “knowing” the small self wants is the type of knowing that comes from books, facts and intellect. The type of knowing that can win you a lot of money on Jeopardy. The small self tells me I need more classes, need to learn more. But this is a thirst that can never be satisfied. For the “knowing” I am here to access and share comes from beyond the mental realm.

I am realizing that I am a channel for Divine Light-Filled wisdom, and I will be its student, too. And it is my intention to release myself from the belief that I have to have the wisdom all cataloged and filed on the mental level before I can share it with others.

I’m also reminding my small self that I am not doing this work alone. Yes, I have to show up and write up brochures and take action in the physical world, but I am doing so at Spirit’s behest. Spirit is doing the planning and spreading the word. Spirit is activating the awareness in the hearts of those I’ve come here to serve. I am being gentle with myself as I sit with the part of me that is scared that no one will find me… the part of me that is scared that this won’t work.

But then the Wise Woman rises up in me and calms my fears with her soothing voice and reminds me that I’ve done this work so many times before… and that I am accessing information and wisdom from beyond the reference of this Earth Girl’s life.

I’m ready for this. Thank you Angels for holding me close and reminding me of my purpose.

The angels love to co-create miracles with us. Yes, there are miracles of biblical proportions that get a lot of glory. But there are also the sweeter every-day miracles that find us on our path. Miracles like finding money on the street just when you are asking for signs of prosperity, or bumping into a friend you haven’t seen in ages only to find out that they have the perfect job lead for you.  These kinds of miracles happen more often than we know. They show up as synchronicities, unexpected windfalls and sudden bursts of inspiration.

A few years ago, a new client had booked a session for an Angel Reading. She worked at a retail store and was heading back to the break room to get ready for our call when a piece of paper on the floor caught her attention. She bent down to pick it up…

…written on the paper was the word Laurel.

…my name

…an uncommon name

…written on a random piece of paper that she found on the floor of the store where she worked

…on the morning of our session.

I love these kinds of miracles. Somehow the angels manage to bring forth confirmation and encouragement just when it is needed.

Remember, you are a miracle magnet. You are a conduit through which beauty, love and light streams to the planet.

Thank goodness for Pinterest — my latest obsession. Ifyou haven’t heard of it before, Pinterest is like a community visual bulletin board where people share images and ideas from all around the web. Once you’ve created an account, you can create various visual boards by category. You can have as many boards as you want. You can have a board for your dream home, for creativity, for cute puppies. The opportunity is only limited by your imagination. Pinterest compiles images that people “pin” from around the web — providing you with a wellspring of visual inspiration.  Since I have such a hard time of describing the awesomeness that is Pinterest, I made a short video about it that you’ll find at the end of this post.

This week I found several things that delighted me including The Color Run — which sounds like the coolest thing in the world.

As you embark upon this day, even if it is not a Sunday, know that God walks with you and that you are surrounded with love. You see, you are precious and God and the angels are here to connect you with the wellspring of love that is always shining upon you. Love is with you always. It is only when you mistakenly believe that you are separated from Divine Source that you begin to feel alone and afraid. You are a bright and mighty Spirit and you are made of pure potential. Allow yourself to stretch your wings today and let God love on you.

Discovering Pinterist

How is it possible that I didn’t know about the awesomeness that is Pinterest until this week? I’m taking an amazing web design class with Jo Klima (who designs exquisitely beautiful sites, btw) and she mentioned Pinterest as a great source for creating a mood board. Now I’m officially obsessed. Remember before the internet how exciting it would be when the new Pottery Barn catalog came in the mail? I would get so darn happy and I would spend hours pouring over perfectly styled homes.

Now I have Pinterest to show me the endless possibilities of beauty and inspiration available in the world.

For instance, before yesterday, I didn’t know that you could make a swinging bed on your porch. A regular swing, sure, but a BED!? OMG. It’s on my dream list.

Sigh… my bliss list this week is my homage to Pinterest. The world is a big beautiful place and inspiration comes in so many forms.

On Monday I embarked upon another cycle of The One-Gen program with some friends. The One-Gen program is devoted to a six-week process of eating minimally-processed foods, spending time in nature and receiving angelic attunements from Josephus & the Wisdom Council. The intention is to revitalize the integration of your body & spirit.

Personally, I have an addictive experience with chocolate, cakes, cookies and other sugary-treats. On the One-Gen program we opt out of eating gluten & refined sugar. It’s  usually not an easy process for me to clean up my nutrition, but it’s made much easier with the support of good friends and the encouragement of Josephus & the Wisdom Council.

This morning I channeled this message of encouragement from Josephus & TWC. It was intented for our One-Gen support group, but I’m guided to share this with you, too. You’ll hear them referencing One-Gen, but the message is loving and applicable to us all.

Even if your diet isn’t “perfect” right now, take some time to bring some beautiful nutrition into your body today. Because this isn’t about achieving perfection. It’s about collaborating with our beautiful bodies so that we can express our vibrancy in the world!

Welcome to Monday morning.  God has delivered us a new week. Think of it as a bright shiny gift filled with potential. It’s yours to decorate in whatever way you desire. I recommend lots of glitter, laughter, lattes and manifesting your heart’s desires.

It always amazes me the way energy shifts. All this weekend I felt tired and  introspective. Saturday night, my sleep was peppered with unsettling dreams. But today, it’s a whole new day, a new vibration. If you missed it, last night was the full moon. Where we live, it was so bright it lit up the night sky. To take advantage of the moon energy, we laid out our crystals so that they could take a clearing moon bath. Now it’s morning and all feels right with the world again.  The winds of change have shifted again and balance has been restored.

What is your soul whispering to you this week?

My soul is reminding me to take good care of my physical body. There’s a shift taking place. I can feel it. The denser energies are pulling at me, and it’s important to feel light and bright so that it’s easier to rise above the muddied vibes.

A major cleansing is taking place. Think of it like a giant magnet that is focused upon this dimension bringing the muck and mire to the surface so that it can be transformed.  Transforming consciousness often involves embodying it. So you may feel your stuff coming up. Or you may be faced with others in your life trying to toss their outmoded paradigms at  you. It’s all a part of bringing old crackled thought forms and feelings to the surface for illumination. When this happens you have a choice. You can either swim into the toxic goo of fear, anger and judgment. Or you can take a deep breath and remind yourself that you are a child of God and you have a mighty & beautiful Spirit capable of bringing miracles to each and every moment.

Here in Northern California we often have fog advisories. The weather gurus warn us of limited visibility and to be careful on the roads. Whenever I drive in fog I tend to get a bit freaked out. It is unsettling not to be able to see what is ahead of me. I drive super slow (much to the dismay of the drivers behind me) and I try to feel my way through the mist. But when the fog is thick, it is challenging to make sense of familiar ground.  Eventually, though, it lifts and I can see clearly again.

The energy shifts are a bit like fog. When we’re in the midst of a big energy shift, old landmarks feel unfamiliar and you have to be super focused to navigate life. But it’s an illusion. One that will lift without you needing to do anything but make it through the experience.

I hope you, too, are experiencing the clearer energies of today. Visibility is clear, the skies are bright blue and I feel so much better!

Welcome to 2012 Conference Call Recording

This morning I share with you the message the angels brought forward earlier this week. It is in response to my question, “What do I need to know to take good care of myself this year?” In addition to messages about eating more kale and less sugar, they reminded me to take good care of me. I sometimes forget the importance of making sweet soft places to meander with my own heart. I share the message with you in case it’s something that will be helpful for you, too.

Angel Message:

Do not fear your destiny. It is not as fragile as you may believe. It is always in motion and the wisdom of your soul keeps you on purpose. Please let go of the ego’s chatter that you might somehow miss your destination. You have a spiritual guidance system that gently shepherds you along your path.

Each year you are asked to walk through experiences that challenge you. This is not done to punish you. Rather it is to provide you ample opportunity to expand your belief structure and further reach into the heavens for guidance and support. Don’t you know, Sweet One, that your experiences serve as fodder for the work you are here to do. Your job is to make it through the experiences. At some point they will alchemize into light that will allow yourself and others the opportunity to soar.

This year remember to spend quality time with yourself. You place focus upon serving others, yet you often neglect your own self. We know sometimes you feel a lack of time, energy and financial resources to take care of you. But all that is truly needed is intentional focus. It can be as simple as finding 30 minutes a day to write. To commune with God. To reach out to a friend who you love.

Make your internal and external life richer for you. Don’t surrender to the default position of acquiescing to making it through the day. Each day is an opportunity for the sun to shine brightly upon your life. Remember the magic you can create when you open your heart and delight in the process of adventure.

Reconnect with you, Sweet One. You are your own best magic. The rest, the organic growth and healing you desire will be a natural byproduct of you steeping in your true delight.
